our comments on the Jakarta city administration’s plan to turn the Lebak Bulus soccer stadium in South Jakarta into a depot for the planned Mass Rapid Transit (MRT):

Why doesn’t the city administration construct the Mass Rapid Transit’s depot under the current soccer stadium?

How can a sports/soccer stadium be turned into an MRT depot? As it is there are hardly any parks for kids to play in and there is hardly any greenery left as compared to a decade ago.
Jakarta is fast becoming a concrete jungle.
Or is it another innovative idea for the people in the administration to make money? First build a stadium then tear it down to make a depot. C’mon, don’t they have better things to do?

It’s a matter of an appropriate
relocation.
As long as the Jakarta administration is ready to provide another space for a new stadium (without taking over fertile farmland), any policy for better public transportation in the capital city should be supported.

The Lebak Bulus stadium must be left intact as long as we want to promote the national soccer team

Your comments about the idea to apply counterflow lanes for busways to discourage other motorists from entering the restricted lanes:

If a counterflow system is implemented our government has violated the law by creating a transportation system that shows that they are panicked and unable to solve our problems.
It’s an unwise idea!
Hot Saut Halomoan

I think the solution to preventing motorists from entering TransJakarta busway lanes is that the Jakarta administration should builder a higher partition between the lanes.
Counterflow lanes will result in more fatal road accidents.

I completely agree with the idea as our traffic is so terrible.
