JAKARTA: The long-lost daughter has returned.
Teen starlet Arumi Bachsin finally saw her parents on Friday, in a meeting initiated by the Witness and Victim Protection Agency. She had run away from home six months ago.
“Alhamdullilah [Thank God]. We finally meet. I am happy for sure,” Arumi’s mother Maria Lilian Pesch said as quoted by kompas.com over the weekend.
The 17 year old ran away from home at the end of 2010 because she couldn’t stand the constant fighting with her parents.
Arumi accused her mother of forcing her into an arranged marriage with a businessman. Arumi also told media that her mother had exploited her by forcing her to sign film contracts.
The parents, however, have denied such accusations. — JP
