A lawyer for the alleged Bali bombing mastermind Umar Patek denied that his client had been involved in the Bali bombing planning, saying that Patek was there only to provide assistance.

“He didn’t plan the [Bali] attacks. He merely helped out,” his lawyer, Ashludin Hatjani, said on Monday, as quoted by Antara news agency.

Your comments:

Hey Patek, get yourself another lawyer. This guy seems to think that you were only helping to kill hundreds of people in Bali.

The Indonesian constitutional judge recently stated that drug smuggling was worse than terrorism so just plead guilty for being under the influence of drugs and see if the law will set you free.

Poor Ariel wasn’t even a helper and they threw the book at him. I suppose that it’s OK in Indonesia to “help” murder a bunch of people if you do it in the name of religion and get the FPI’s backing.
