Guess what?: Pregnancy not stopping Astrid

JAKARTA: Singer Astrid Sartiasari believes being pregnant is no reason for people to stop their activities.

The 30-year-old is now six months pregnant, but she is still taking singing jobs.

“Pregnant women are not sick people. As long as I can sing, as long I am not disrupted on stage. I used to get nauseous, but it went away after I appeared on stage,” she said as quoted by kompas.com.

But, the wife of singer Arlan Djoewarsa said she followed her husband’s advice to be selective about the job offers she accepts. For example, she refuses to sing out of town or at venues that allow smoking.

The star said she plans to keep on singing until her ninth month of pregnancy.
