Taman Sari police officer, who was allegedly found to have two pictures of model Novi Amalia wearing only her underwear during her arrest, obtained them from a reporter, Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Rikwanto said on Thursday.

Rikwanto said that after questioning the officer, identified only as HS, he admitted that he got the pictures from a reporter, identified as WO.

Rikwanto said WO was supposedly at the scene when Novi was arrested after driving her car into seven people in separate road accidents on Oct. 11. He did, however, say that the police had yet to determine whether it was WO or someone else who took the pictures.

Meanwhile, West Jakarta Police chief Sr. Comr. Suntana said the most important thing was to find out who uploaded the pictures on the Internet.

“The one who took the pictures and the one who uploaded them could be different people,” he told kompas.com, adding that the uploader would face the legal consequences of his actions.

West Jakarta Police have questioned seven officers from Taman Sari police precinct, including precinct chief Comr. Maulana Hamdan, in connection with the photograph and distribution of the image.

Novi, allegedly under the influence of drugs and alcohol, was arrested semi-clothed after hitting seven people, including two policemen.
