he Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) have revealed that graft convict Gayus Tambunan has purchased a house close Sukamiskin prison in Bandung. The house, located on Jl. Pacuan Kuda is said to have been purchased by Gayus' mother-in-law. Dayu Permata last year.
'The house reportedly cost Rp850 million (US$87,000), but, if you look at the house, seems it's more costly than that,' said a police officer who refused to be named. Tempo.co reported.
The house accidentally came to light as KPK investigators tracked down properties belonging of Toto Hutagalung, another graft suspect, last week.
'Six people from KPK came at around 9.30 a.m. When they knew the house was sold, they asked for a copy of the deed to be sent to them via fax,' said Komar Ariana, who guards the house.
