ozens of members of Pemuda Pancasila (PP) youthorganization reportedly attacked on Friday the editorial office of LuwukPost in Luwuk, Banggai regency, in Central Sulawesi, which is located some16 hours' drive from the provincial capital of Palu.

The PP members demanded to meet the publisher of the newspaper, which is affiliated with the Jawa Pos Group.

When publisher Herdianto Yusuf and chief editor Haris Ladici were late to turn up, the PP members reportedly set fire to chairs and damaged other facilities in the office.

The alleged attack, led by PP Luwuk secretary Badrin Nonsi, was in relation to an article published on Friday on the Ampana page of the newspaper, concerning PP Luwuk chairman Jemmy Najoan.

The article quoted the Save Tojo Una-una Forum (FPPT), which demanded that Jemmy be expelled from Tojo Una-una regency.

Jemmy is a contractor working in Ampana, the seat of Tojo Una-una regency, and is believed to have close ties with Tojo Una-una Regent Damsik Ladjalani. 'We demand that the coverage of Jemmy Najoan not involve Pemuda Pancasila,' said Badrin.
