The girl band Princess officially disbanded on Wednesday when producer Kevin Aprilio terminated the contracts of its five singers.

'There are no personal conflicts behind the decision. It's just that the passion is no longer there,' Kevin, the son of composer Addie MS and the singer Memes, told reporters.

'I want to focus on Vierratale,' Kevin said, as quoted by kapanlagi.com, referring to his own band.

Princess, formed in 2011 as a fashion-savvy singing and dancing group, comprised Elma, Patrice and Ana from the original lineup and newly recruited members Cindy and Gayatri, who joined the group in March.

There had been reports that Kevin dated Elma and the pair recently broke up.

As a consolation to their fans, Princess personnel uploaded on the group's Twitter account photos of their first appearances.
