AKARTA: Sam Brodie says that he is a bit sad that his work is less-than-appreciated in his home country, Indonesia.

The Scottish-Indonesian actor, who gained fame after starring in the reality show Big Brother in 2006, said that his career in Jakarta had yet to take off.

'€œI'€™ve been working for three to four years here, but haven'€™t gotten much. Nevertheless, I'€™m still grateful,'€ the 27-year-old said as quoted by kapanlagi.com.

Sam, who spent 13 years as a transgender person, released a book titled Samuel, Samantha and Me, as well as taking roles in made-for-TV movies.

'€œThe book was also released internationally and the reception was better as compared to the Indonesian market,'€ the father of one said.
