tate-owned PT Angkasa Pura I announced that flights serving the Surabaya-Lombok route remained suspended on Friday due to the eruption of Mount Raung in East Java.
The company has closed five airports in Surabaya, Denpasar, Lombok, Jember and Banyuwangi due to the mountain's eruption.
Angkasa Pura spokesperson Liza Anindya said in Surabaya on Friday that on Friday morning, only Citilink was allowed to serve the Surabaya-Lombok route.
'For this morning only Citilink is serving the route. We have not received information on other airlines yet,' she said.
She added that several flights from Yogyakarta to Bali were rerouted to Surabaya on Thursday night until Friday morning.
'We are still waiting information on whether Ngurah Rai International Airport has been opened or not,' she said as quoted by Antara news agency.
Lionair had already cancelled its flights from Surabaya to Lombok and to Denpasar because of the eruption. (rms)
