Lion Air flight from Jakarta to Ujung Pandang in South Sulawesi was forced to make an emergency landing on Wednesday morning at Juanda Airport in Sidoarjo, East Java.

It is suspected that the plane, carrying 210 passengers including four children and two infants, was suffering from engines failure.

'€œAll passengers have been evacuated and transferred to another Lion plane. The plane is still being examined,'€ the general manager of Juanda'€™s airport operator Angkasa Pura, Yanus Suprayogi, said, as quoted by tribunnews.com.

Yanus said the plane landed at 5.26 a.m. at the Juanda airport after requesting permission from the airport'€™s air traffic control. (ika)(++++)
