T

he Jambi Municipality is set to build a waste-based power plant at the Angso Duo market as part of the city'€™s power management pilot project.

The municipal administration is currently waiting for the provincial administration to provide land for the project. Jambi Mayor Sy Fasha said the Bangkok-based UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (Unescap) would serve as the donor agency for the project.

'€œThe project will likely commence in January 2016,'€ Fasha said on Wednesday.

Fasha added that the municipality had coordinated with the provincial administration to secure the land for the project and added that he had even met with acting Jambi Governor Imran recently to discuss the project.
