anah Abang district head Hidayatulloh and Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) officer Mail Kurniawan are reported to have suffered minor injuries in a fracas with two members of the Presidential Security Detail (Paspampres), identified as TMA and TP.
Tanah Abang Police criminal unit head Comr. Mustakim confirmed the report on Tuesday. 'The two parties have resolved their differences. The victims weren't grievously injured,' Mustakim said as quoted by kompas.com, adding that Hidayatulloh had sustained a bruise on his right foot, Mail on his forehead. Mustakim added that the police had seized a pocket knife and an airsoft gun from TMA and TP.
Paspampres commander Maj. Gen. Andika Perkasa said that TMA had been eating at a street food stall in Tanah Abang when Hidayatulloh and Satpol PP officers arrived to evict the vendors. TMA asked the officials to delay the eviction until he and his fellow diners had finished eating, to which Hidayatulloh responded rudely, according to Anika.
Later that evening, TMA and TP went to Hidayatulloh's office to complain about his lack of courtesy. Also at the office was the evicted street vendor, who tried to attack Hidayatulloh. TP successfully mediated the quarrel, but as he later left the office, a Satpol PP officer punched him in the head, sparking a contretemps between Satpol PP officers and the two Paspampres officers.
Paspampres was now investigating the issue and would sanction TMA and TP over the possession of the air soft gun, Andika added.
