ilm director Riri Riza says he realizes he is carrying a heavy burden by directing the sequel of Ada Apa Dengan Cinta? (What'€™s up with Cinta?), sometimes shortened to AADC.

AADC garnered wide public acceptance when it was screened in 2002, catapulting leading actors Nicholas Saputra and Dian Sastrowardoyo into stardom. The movie'€™s original soundtrack album was also a major hit.

Riri said his team was working hard to live up to the public'€™s high expectations of the film'€™s sequel.

'€œWe will make sure that the audience relates well to AADC2'€™s storyline and musical score. AADC had the combination of a good film, a well produced soundtrack, a well-executed publication strategy and the right release date. We'€™ll continuously work on those elements to make AADC2 as good a film as the first,'€ he said as quoted by tempo.co recently.

Riri said a number of sad events had marred the filmmaking process in the past year, including the death of Melly Goeslaw'€™s mother and Anto Hoed'€™s father. Melly and Anto were behind the film'€™s music production.
