Greater jakarta: SGU to settle land dispute in BSD

T

he Swiss German University (SGU) will try and settle a land dispute case regarding its campus at the Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) housing complex in South Tangerang, Banten, with developer Sinar Mas Land.

“Yes, we have a dispute. It has been ongoing since 2013,” SGU communications director Christie Kanter told kompas.com on Thursday.

The dispute centers around payment for 10 hectares of land for the campus that was earlier agreed to by PT BSD, a subsidiary of Sinar Mas Land, and the SGU foundation.

Christie said the agreement purchase stated that PT BSD would build a lecture hall along with a multi-purpose building and administrative building.

“Since the second and the third buildings have not been built yet, we have not given out the payment,” she said.
