resident Joko "Jokowi" Widodo hosted an open house gathering at the State Palace on Monday to celebrate Idul Fitri with his cabinet, representatives from top state institutions and business people.

Accompanied by First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo, Vice President Jusuf Kalla and Mufidah Kalla, Jokowi welcomed guests on Monday morning wearing a long-sleeved batik shirt.

The President also invited the ministry's echelon I officials, Presidential Office staff and the Cabinet Secretariat.

The Regional Legislative Council (DPD) chairman Irman Gusman was the first to enter the room, followed by ministers and other heads of state institutions. 

Jokowi also hosted an Idul Fitri gathering at the Yogyakarta Presidential Palace on Saturday, where he welcomed more than 2,000 people. The event marked Jokowi's first open house party at the Palace, known locally as Gedung Agung. (rin)
