AKARTA: Young pianist Joey Alexander has released a music video to accompany his composition “City Lights”, on social media.
The new single is taken from his second album titled Countdown, which will be released on Sept. 16.
“Excited to share the “City Lights” video with you, w/ @ChimyOnTheBass and @UlyssesOwensJr on drums!” Joey tweeted on his Twitter account.
“City Lights” was one of the songs that he performed during the 2016 Grammy Awards where he was awarded with a standing ovation.
Joey explained that the bright lights of New York City inspired the new composition.
“City Lights is about the bright lights of New York. It’s like an energy that radiates all around the city,” he said. — JP
