ENANG: Pop band Nidji rocked thousands of audience members who packed Padang Kota Lama Square in Penang, Malaysia, on Saturday, kompas.com reported.
The band, formed 2002, performed as part of the Wonderful Indonesia campaign during the 2016 George Town Festival in Malaysia.
Lead vocalist Giring Ganesha and his bandmates Ariel, Rama, Andro, Andri and Randy entertained their fans — the Nidji-holics — with 10 songs over an hour.
Nidji is popular in Malaysia. The audience sang along as Giring belted out hit songs such as “Laskar Pelangi” (Rainbow Troops), “Hapus Aku” (Wipe Me out) and “Sang Mantan” (The Ex).
“I will make your evening fun and unforgettable,” Giring told the audience to their excitement. — JP
