Moeloek and Banten Governor Rano Karno, Jokowi visited local health clinics in Baros, Kaduhejo and Warungggunung. During his visit, Jokowi also met with people of several villages in Serang municipality.
Antara news agency has reported the president will join Banten residents to attend an event in welcoming Idul Adha in Al Bantani Mosque where mosque attendees will recite the takbir (God is great). Jokowi and his family are also scheduled to conduct Idul Adha prayer on Monday in the Ats Tsauroh Grand Mosque in Pegantungan, Serang, where he is set to hand over a 800-kilogram cow for qurban (sacrifice).
For this year's Idul Adha, Jokowi donated a cow for each province facilitated by its local administration. The president had also donated a 1.5-ton cow to Southeast Asia's largest mosque Istiqlal.
"In accordance with the President's order, it is a local cow from Tuban [East Java]," said Abu Hurairah, the qurban committee secretary of Istiqlal Mosque.
