JAKARTA: Singer Isyana Sarasvati has uploaded photos to her Instagram account of herself and the three awards she picked up at the 2016 Indonesian Music Awards (AMI).

The 23-year-old won the prestigious awards for her album Explore, which took the best Soul/R & B/Urban Album and Best Producer accolades. The singer also won the R & B Artist award for her single, “Kau Adalah” (You Are).

She said she felt honored to receive the awards.

“I’m so happy. I can’t believe that my work, still a baby in Indonesia’s music industry, is appreciated,” she told kompas.com.

After winning the awards, Isyana, who began her musical career as a classical music composer and opera singer, also wrote of her gratitude toward those people who had helped her in her musical career in Indonesia. — JP
