AKARTA: Basketball player Denny Sumargo says he does not deserve to be called an actor yet despite the fact that he has been in several films.

“I’m a basketball player,” Denny told tribunnews.com on the sidelines of the 2016 Indonesian Film Festival (FFI) on Sunday.

The 35-year-old said he still needed to learn a lot from more senior actors who were nominated at the FFI.

“I know my place. I still need to reach that actor status,” he said.

Currently, Denny is working on at least three movies; The Doll, My Trip My Adventure and a biopic on RA Kartini. — JP
