View all search resultslawyer for on-leave Jakarta Governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama, Sirra Prayuna, said on Tuesday that he was satisfied with the case screening held by National Police on Ahok’s alleged act of blasphemy.
"I think the National Police have been professional and transparent in investigating the case. The police gave us and those who lodged complaints a chance to obtain complete information about the case," he said, refusing to explain what he told the police.
The case screening ran smoothly without bickering between different parties, he said.

Sirra refused to speculate on whether the police would decide there was a case against Ahok.
"We will wait for the police's conclusion about this case. We will accept the police's decision whatever it is," he said.
A case screening is a phase in a criminal investigation conducted to help the police decide whether to proceed with a case.
"I believe the police are professional. Whatever the police decide, I will accept it, even if I am named a suspect,” Ahok said during an event at his campaign team headquarters in Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Monday.
The police are scheduled to finish the case screening on Tuesday evening and announce whether the case against Ahok will proceed on Wednesday afternoon.
