View all search resultsresident Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has sent his condolences to the family of Intan Olivia Marbun, a 2-year-old girl who died following a firebomb attack at Oikumene Church in Samarinda, East Kalimantan on Sunday.
After he delivered a speech at the Army Academy in Bandung on Tuesday, Jokowi said the terrorist attack was “outside the boundaries of humanity”.
“There are no words to describe my deep sorrow for the loss of Intan. This is outside the boundaries of humanity, because we are talking about our children,” he said as quoted by news agency Antara.
The President added that violence and terrorism were a global challenge also faced by other countries and that he had instructed the military to ensure people’s security all over Indonesia. (evi)
