ndonesian mixed doubles pair Praveen Jordan/Debby Susanto got their revenge by beating South Korean pair Choi Solgyu/Chae Yoo Jung on Friday evening at the Hong Kong Open Super Series 2016 badminton tournament.

Last week, Jordan/Derby lost 15-21 and 13-21 to Choi/Chae at the China Open.

In the Hong Kong Open semifinal, Jodan/Debby won in a rubber game 19-21,21-18 and 21-28.

“At the beginning, we were often instigated. Actually, we know how they play,” Jordan said in a statement on their lost in the first game.

“Eventually we could apply our pattern in the second game. We once wanted to finish the third game quickly. But we even failed in our serves several times,” Debby added.

Jordan/Debby’s victory opens the possibility for an all-Indonesian final as their compatriots Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir face mixed doubles pair Tang Chun Man/Tse Ying Suet in another semifinal match.

“We are hoping for an all-Indonesian final. In the final, we will do our best. We should be optimistic,” Debby said.

Also representing Indonesia at the quarterfinal are men’s doubles pair Mohammad Ahsan/Rian Agung Saputro, who will challenge Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen from Denmark.(jun)
