xpress Transindo Utama, the operator of Express Taxi, appointed on Thursday new management consisting of one director and three commissioners to replace two directors and four commissioners who resigned on Nov. 30.
After a shareholders meeting in Jakarta on Thursday, Rajawali Corpora's deputy managing director, Benny Setiawan, became the new president director replacing Daniel Podiman, who served the taxi company since 1999.
Rajawali Corpora hold a 51 percent in Express , the remaining 49 percent is owned by the investing public.
Benny previously was Sukanto Tanoto's Royal Golden Eagle International’s president director from 2006 to 2011.
"We will focus on transportation service and restructure the company to increase efficiency," Benny said.

Amid the rise of online ride-hailing apps, the company experienced a decline in performance. In the third quarter of 2016 it suffered a revenue loss of 28.95 percent year-on-year to Rp 46.29 billion.
Another two Rajawali Corpora employees, Abed Nego and Satrio Tjai, were appointed president commissioner and commissioner, respectively.
Former National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) head Alfan Baharudin was appointed commissioner. (bbn)
