View all search resultshe Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will soon establish a selection committee to choose new members for the antigraft advisory council.
KPK spokesperson Febri Diansyah said his office had invited several figures to become panelists on the team, including former Constitutional Court chief justice Mahfud MD, sociologist Imam Prasodjo, economist Rhenald Kasali, former KPK chairman Busyro Muqoddas and law expert Saldi Isra.
“We hope the committee can select the best advisers in line with our attempt to strengthen the KPK as an institution,” Febri told The Jakarta Post on Monday.
On Monday morning, Mahfud, who completed his five-year term as chief justice in April 2013, arrived at the KPK headquarters and was subsequently followed by Imam.
The KPK currently has two academics, Mohammad Mu'tashim Billah and Suwarsono, as its advisors. They will see their tenures end this year after serving since 2013.
