iti has launched a new application service called MobilePASS for corporate users so that they can easily make transactions via cellular phone without using physical tokens.

With MobilePASS, people can use a cell phone to get an access code without passing through a connectivity network to access various platforms, including CitiDirect BE®, CitiDirect BE® Mobile and CitiDirect BE® Tablet.

"MobilePASS is easy to use and improves the login experience for users of all levels within the organization -- from CFOs who need to view transaction analytics, to corporate treasurers who approve transactions on-the-go, to personnel who need to connect from the office or work from home," said Citi Asia Pacific head of channel and enterprise services, treasury and trade solutions Keng-Mun Lee in a press statement.

Previously, Citi users had to carry a physical token to generate passcodes that were required to access their accounts and transactions on CitiDirect BE.

MobilePASS can be used by using CitiDirect BE® or can be downloaded on a smartphone from Apple App, Blackberry World, Google Play, and Window Stores.

Users can also use additional security like a PIN, swipe and fingerprint ID for maximal security for smartphones.

Citi is the first global bank to launch a soft token for smartphones for clients in more than 80 countries, including in Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam. (bbn)
