View all search resultsThe Jakarta administration has allocated Rp 100 billion (US$7.5 million) to manage and add cemeteries throughout the city this year.
The Parks and Cemeteries Agency head Djafar Muchlisin said Sunday that the allocated fund would also be used to improve and arrange cemetery gardens.
This year's allocation was a Rp 40 billion increase compared to last year.
“The fund will be used to procure and expand cemeteries as well as manage their gardens. Last year, the budget absorption was only Rp 60 billion for land procurement,” Djafar said, as quoted by beritajakarta.com. (wnd)
