ndonesian pair Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo and Marcus Fernaldi Gideon nailed a semifinal spot in the All England badminton tournament on Saturday.

Earlier, three-time champion Tontowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsir in mixed doubles stumbled upon hosts Chris Adcock and Gabrielle Adcock, losing 21-16, 19-21 and 12-21 in the one hour and four minute battle.

Kevin and Marcus outwitted Chai Biao and Hong Wei of China 21-16 and 21-18 in the quarters. It was the third victory for the Indonesians against the Chinese pair.

In the Saturday semifnal, fifth-seeded duo Kevin and Marcus will meet eighth-seeded pair Mads Conrad Petersen and Mads Pieler Kolding of Denmark.

"We will do our best [in the semis], but we don't want to be overly confident," said Marcus, as quoted by the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) website, badmintonindonesia.org.

The semifinal round will be aired by Kompas TV on Saturday, starting at 6.30 p.m.
