ndonesian men's pair Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo and Kevin Fernaldi Gideon are progressing in their first title campaign of the prestigious All England badminton tournament as they reached the final on early Sunday Jakarta time.

Kevin and Marcus outclassed Mads Conrad Petersen and Mads Pieler Kolding of Denmark in an uneasy 19-21, 21-13, 21-17 battle of 69 minutes.

"We fought, no matter what; that was key [to our win]. The first game was really challenging, but we fought anyway and it worked," said Marcus as quoted by the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) website, badmintonindonesia.org.

The victory was also the Indonesians’ first win against the Danes, who were eighth seeds in the Birmingham showdown.

In Sunday's finals, fifth seeds Kevin and Marcus will face sixth-seeded pair Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen of China. It will be a second meet for both pairs with the Chinese holding an advantage of winning.

The Chinese beat compatriots Liu Cheng and Zang Nan in the semifinals.

The All England finals will be aired by Kompas TV on Sunday, starting at 6.30 p.m.
