tate-owned lender PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia appointed on Wednesday Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) vice president director Suprajarto as its new president director, replacing Asmawi Syam, who led the country's biggest lender since 2014.
Meanwhile, former National Development Planning Board (Bappenas) head Andrinof Chaniago was appointed the bank's president commissioner, replacing Mustafa Abubakar, who was state-owned enterprises minister during the Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono administration.
The bank also appointed Nicolaus Teguh Budi Harjanto as a commissioner, replacing Ahmad Fuad, and Indra Utomo as a director to replace Zulhelfy Abidin.

"Suprajarto is currently vice president director of BNI and Indra Utoyo is Telkom's digital strategic director," Asmawi Syam said after the shareholders meeting in Jakarta on Wednesday.
BRI vice president director Sunarso said the bank would pay out Rp 10.48 trillion or Rp 428 per share in April. It is 40 percent of the bank's 2016 net income.
"Our capital adequacy ratio is still above 20 percent, which is enough to support bank's expansion one to two years ahead," he said. (bbn)
