Thamrin's park-and-ride facility kicks off operations

A park-and-ride facility on Jl. MH Thamrin, Menteng, Central Jakarta, kicked off its operations on Monday.
The public facility is intended particularly for employees working around the area.
A four-wheel vehicle is charged a daily flat price of Rp 5,000 (37 US cent), said Jakarta's parking management unit spokesman Ivan Falentino.
"People who need parking space can park their vehicles in the area," he said, as quoted by beritajakarta.com on Monday.
Ivan added that vehicles parked at the facility, which could accommodate up to 600 vehicles, were insured, as the facility was managed by the city administration.
"Currently, the entrance still uses manual tickets, but we plan to install machines," he said. (agn)
