Prosecutors demand 10 years in jail for juvenile murder suspect

rosecutors have demanded that a 16-year-old student accused of killing his 15-year-old school mate be sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment.
The prosecutors read out their demand during a closed-door hearing at the Mungkid District Court in Magelang, Central Java.
AMR, a student of the Taruna Nusantara high school, is alleged to have slashed the neck of Krisna Wahyu Nurachmad with a kitchen knife. He has been charged with premeditated murder, which is punishable by death or a life sentence.
"The sentence demand is in accordance with the facts revealed in the trial, [taking into consideration] the defendant's sadistic crime," prosecutor Eko Hening Wardono said, as quoted by news agency Antara.
Defense lawyer Agus Joko Setiono said the defendant objected to the demand (Cal).
