orruption Eradication Commission (KPK) spokesperson Febri Diansyah said the antigraft body has yet to receive an official request from National Mandate Party (PAN) patron Amien Rais for a meeting with its leaders.
He was responding to Amien’s statement made on Friday claiming he would meet with KPK leaders on June 5 to explain the Rp 600 million (US$ 45,089.10) he allegedly accepted from the Soetrisno Bachir Foundation (YSB) in a 2005 graft case.
The information was revealed by KPK prosecutor Ali Fikri during the graft trial of former health minister Siti Fadilah Supari at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Wednesday.

Amien’s name was mentioned in prosecutors’ sentence demand for Siti. According to the prosecutors, Siti’s direct appointment of pharmaceutical company Indofarma, who won the tender for the procurement of medical equipment in 2005, was the result of her close relationship with PAN.
Nuki Syahrun, the director of Indofarma Global Medika — a subsidiary of Indofarma — is the brother-in-law of former PAN chairman Soetrisno Bachir.
Prosecutors alleged that Nuki had ordered Soetrisno Bachir Foundation secretary Yurida Adlani to transfer a portion of Indofarma’s business profits to several people, including Amien. Prosecutors accused Amien of accepting Rp 600 million in six installments throughout 2007. (mrc/ebf)
