he Jakarta Environment and Sanitation Agency is planning to provide 33 mobile toilets during the Asian Games to be held in the capital next year.
“Currently we have 11 trucks and we plan to procure 22 more this year,” agency head Isnawa Adji said on Friday.
Jakarta and the South Sumatra provincial capital of Palembang are slated to host Asia's biggest quadrennial sporting event, involving 484 events in 42 sports.
“The cost of each truck is around Rp 800 million [US$ 60,173],” he said.
President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has instructed all relevant parties to speed up the preparations and the completion of infrastructure projects that will be used to support the 2018 Asian Games. (fac)
