View all search resultsfter being inaugurated as head of the Presidential Secretariat, the former chief of the Jakarta Finance and Asset Management Board, Heru Budi Hartono, planned to join a presidential visit to Malang in East Java on Thursday.
Heru was inaugurated by State Secretariat Pratikno in the morning and held a meeting with his subordinates afterwards, kompas.com reported.
“[After that] I directly joined the ‘main group’ to Malang,” he told reporters in his new office at the State Palace.
He said he had studied his new obligations and was confident that his stint as an aide to President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo during his tenure as Jakarta governor would come in handy.
During Jokowi’s time as governor of the capital, Heru served as head of the Gubernatorial and Foreign Affairs Bureau before serving as North Jakarta mayor. (fac)
