View all search resultsrivate tap water company PT PAM Lyonnaise Jaya (Palyja) will conduct maintenance with state electricity company PLN at a water treatment installation (IPA) in Pejompongan, Central Jakarta, on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., temporarily cutting off its water supply.
Palyja spokesperson Lydia Astriningworo said the water supply would gradually return to normal on Sunday, starting at 5 p.m.
She encouraged all Palyja costumers to fill up their water tanks before the supply is cut.
"We also prepared our tankers to anticipate a state of emergency in public places like hospitals and worship houses," Lydia said as as quoted by wartakota.tribunnews.com.
Among the affected areas are Setiabudi, Bukit Duri and Karet in South Jakarta; Kampung Bali, Kebon Kacang, Kebon Sirih, Gondangdia, Menteng, Senayan and Petojo Selatan in Central Jakarta; Kampung Melayu in East Jakarta; and Kebon Jeruk and Jelambar in West Jakarta. (Vny)
