A

school foundation has promised to carry out psychological tests on all teachers at its junior high school in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, following a nude picture scandal involving an English teacher that sparked outrage.

Tri Sutrisno, 25, the teacher in question, was arrested by the police near the school compound on Aug. 10, following a report filed by parents that he allegedly sent photos of a naked woman with profane text to at least four female ninth graders through instant messaging service Line.

“We have discussed it and every teacher will have to undergo a psychological test, which is aimed at preventing a similar occurrence in the future,” Elika Dwi Murwani, a deputy director at the Christian Education Foundation (BPK) Penabur Jakarta told a press briefing on Monday.

She said she hoped the incident would not tarnish the school’s reputation, adding that the school’s students had made many achievements.

She said the school had dismissed Tri, tribunnews.com reported. (fac)
