fter climbing to the top of an electricity tower on Jl. Yos Sudarso in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, on Monday, Agustinus Woro has yet to come down.

Perched on the extra high-voltage power line (sutet), at around 50 meters off the ground, he has unfurled banners reading: "Selling body organs for investigation of murder cases of children in East Nusa Tenggara by Indonesian Army and Densus 88 [the National Police’s counterterrorism]" and "Disband corrupt parties. Corrupt parties = Communists."

“He might be depressed. He has done this [climbing high structures] many times. He might want to be famous,” North Jakarta Police's spokesman Comr. Sungkono said as quoted by tempo.co on Thursday.

Separately, Satriadi Gunawan, the North Jakarta Fire and Rescue Management Agency subdivision head, said that his officers have been persuading Agustinus to come down, but to no avail.

In response, Agustinus claimed he had gasoline and a lighter, and threatened to set the officers on fire, Satriadi said.

Sungkono suspects that Agustinus suffered from a mental disorder. (agn/wit)
