akarta Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat wants people recovering from mental disabilities or disorders to work at City Hall and in city offices.

He has instructed the management of the Bina Laras social institution in West Jakarta to examine the condition of its inhabitants.

"Please select the people and place them in our offices. If needed, they can be placed at City Hall," he said as quoted by kompas.com on Wednesday.

The recovering inhabitants, he added, could be hired as contract workers.

Some who have recovered from their troubles are already working, he added.

"Those in a stable condition are already working at the National Monument [Monas] or in subdistrict offices," he said. (agn)
