epok tap-water company Tirta Asasta will temporarily halt the distribution of clean water to some of its customers on Monday and Tuesday amid pipe installment work.

Tirta Asasta plans to install pipes for raw water access to the Citayam water treatment plant on the two days. Therefore, the distribution of clean water to some areas of Depok, West Java, will be halted starting at 10 a.m. on Monday.

“It will affect customers in Depok and Sawangan along Jl. Margonda, Jl. Raya Citayam, half of Grand Depok City as well as [the Perumnas Depok I housing estate] and its surroundings,” Tirta Asasta spokeswoman Imas Diah Pitaloka said on Sunday.

She suggested customers contain clean water they need in basins before the interruption.

She added that the company had informed customers on the measure in a letter and therefore expected all customers to have acknowledged the issue.

“We apologize for the disruption, which is an inconvenience for customers,” she added. (wit)
