irector General of Taxation Robert Pakpahan has said his office had collected 82.6 percent of the government's yearly target as of mid of December, compared to 78 percent on Nov. 30.
This year, the government targeted to collect Rp 1.28 quadrillion (US$94.2 billion) in taxes.
Robert, who took office late last month, expressed optimism that his office would be able to fulfill the target.

Next year, the government plans to collect Rp 1.62 quadrillion in taxes, an increase of almost 10 percent from this year's target. (bbn)
