ctor Mario Lawalata has admitted that his sneaker collection at home had grown to over 100 pairs and had become so overwhelming to take care of that he decided to sell 20 of them at a recent bazaar in Jakarta.
“There were many events at which we could sell sneakers, so I managed to sell some of mine, around 20 pairs were sold,” he said as quoted by Warta Kota.
Mario said he decided to sell some of his collection because he barely wore them for his daily activities. Most of the shoes in his collection are sports shoes for playing basketball.
“I had better sell them. I have so many shoes that I often forget I haven’t used some of them,” he said, adding that he was afraid the shoes would be damaged if they were left unused.
He said he set several prices ranging between Rp 300,000 (US$22.52) and Rp 2 million for the shoes.
