“His restitution has not yet been paid, but he said he could pay in installments,” Febri said as quoted by kompas.com on Friday.
The former House of Representatives speaker has so far paid Rp 5 billion (US$354,250) in restitution.
Setya, Febri said, had submitted a formal letter stating his ability to pay the restitution but only in installments.
The politician was sentenced to 15 years in prison and required to pay a Rp 500 million fine after being found guilty of involvement in a multi-million dollar corruption case surrounding the national electronic ID project.
He was also ordered to pay US$7.3 million in restitution or have the state seize his assets and auction them. (gis/ahw)
