"They got excited whenever the rocks hit passing cars on the toll road," Serang Police chief Sr. Adj. Comr. Indra Gunawan said as quoted by kompas.com on Monday. "They didn't even think their actions could harm passengers."
The five suspects allegedly tossed rocks at five cars passing the toll road, injuring four passengers on June 27.
The suspects then fled the scene on a single motorcycle.
"They left without knowing that they had injured people," Indra said.
The suspects found out about the four victims after hearing reports from the police.
Last month, suspects in a similar case also claimed they tossed rocks at cars for fun. (rfa)
