n unidentified man was killed after being run over by a trailer truck on Jl. RE Martadinata in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta in the early morning on Tuesday.
The victim died when he tried to stop the trailer truck driven by a man named Aji Masewu.
“The victim tried to stop passing trailer trucks traveling from east to the west. He then fell under and was run over by the trailer truck,” head of the North Jakarta Traffic Police unit Adj. Sigit Purwanto said on Tuesday as reported by kompas.com.
Police were still questioning several witnesses about the incident. There was no information yet on whether the victim wanted to cross the road or something else that made him try to stop the passing trailer trucks.
The victim was in his late 30s, was wearing a striped black shirt and shorts, and his height was around 165 centimeters, Sigit said. (ami)
