ctress and emcee Jessica Iskandar is proud of being a guest judge on the modeling competition/reality show Asia’s Next Top Model (ASNTM) and could not care less about the people who took to Instagram to criticize her.

Jessica ignored the taunting comments, saying that this type of response was a common thing. “The pros and cons will always be there, we just have to enjoy it,” she said as quoted by kompas.com.

Jessica added she was happy and proud to have been chosen as a guest judge for the famous show. “Even my friends said they are proud of me. This is a whole new experience for me to be a guest judge on an international show.”

At first, Jessica confessed, she had doubts when she was directly contacted by the show’s team to become a guest judge, thinking it was a hoax.  

“They emailed me, then I thought it was a hoax, I even asked why it had to be me and they explained that they liked my style,” Jessica said. “My own career in the Indonesian entertainment industry was also taken into consideration and they thought I would fit right in.”

ASNTM, which has returned for a sixth season, is based on supermodel Tyra Banks’ wildly successful America’s Next Top Model, which has spawned over 30 international versions and propelled numerous models into the competitive industry.
