he Jakarta Police arrested 11 people for allegedly producing and distributing electronic cigarette liquid containing ecstasy in Kelapa Gading, Jakarta, on Wednesday.
Jakarta Police narcotics unit chief Sr. Adj. Comr. Jean Calvijn Simanjuntak said the suspects had experimented to figure out how to make the liquid with the illegal drugs. He added there was a "boss" who ordered them to make the illicit liquid.
“Someone ordered them by phone. That's who we are searching for, who gave them the order,” he said, as quoted by kompas.com.
The e-cigarette liquid containing ecstasy was reportedly made at a rental house in Kelapa Gading and was distributed through a multi level marketing (MLM) approach.
However, the suspects reportedly said the MLM approach was changed to an easier method, social media.
Deliveries were made through a courier service or online transportation. (sau/gis)
