A family of four was found dead in their house in Pondok Melati, Bekasi, on Tuesday morning.

The alleged homicide victims have been identified as Diperum Nainggolan, 38; Maya Boru Ambarita, 37; Sara Boru Nainggolan, 9; and Arya Nainggolan, 7.

Bekasi Police chief Sr. Comr. Indarto said that according to an ongoing investigation, police officers noticed wounds from a sharp weapon on the victims’ bodies.

The husband and wife were found with deep cuts on their neck, while the children were thought to have died from asphyxiation.

“The parents were found lying in the living room and the children were in their bedroom. The parents’ bodies were facing down. The kids died in their beds,” Indarto said as quoted by wartakota.tribunnews.com.

“Our investigation is supported by the [West Java] Police. Some K9 dogs have also been deployed to help. We’ve questioned several witnesses, too,” he added.
