rengky Denger Manu, 25, and Julius Umbu Ngailu, 38 -- suspects in a brawl that resulted in the deaths of two nightclub visitors in West Jakarta-- were arrested in Samhin, Pangkalan Baru, Pangkalpinang, Bangka Belitung, on Sunday.

The suspects are believed to have been involved in a brawl that ended in the deaths of two visitors of Bandara nightclub, Jl. Daan Mogot, West Jakarta, on Oct. 17.

West Jakarta Police's criminal investigation unit head, Sr. Adj. Comr. Edi Suranta Sitepu, said the suspects were arrested with the help of Bangka Belitung Police.

“The two suspects were arrested at a house in Samhin, which was their hiding place. The two suspects are being questioned at the West Jakarta Police,” Edi said on Monday, tribunnews.com reported.

He said both suspects lived in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta.

He said police shot one of the suspects’ right leg because he resisted arrest.

A deadly brawl at Bandara nightclub occurred last month after two people dancing in the establishment bumped into each other.

An argument occurred outside the nightclub, which led to a brawl. HS, 38 one of the victims, died of stab wounds at the scene, while another victim, SG, also sustained stab wounds and was taken to Royal Trauma Hospital, but died the next day. (ami)
